Welcome to our blog! We are Steven and Jess, a young (ish) Canadian couple from Newfoundland, Canada.
Such a great itinerary! Love to see a little creativity in destination choices. From your photos, it looks like Croatia and Slovenia were incredible. Would love to travel to that area one day.
Hope you’re enjoying your trip so far!
Thanks guys! Yes – both countries were amazing and surprisingly “budget traveller” friendly! 🙂 Hope to catch up in SE Asia somewhere!

You are so spoiled! Australia and Hawaii? What great choices. Enjoy and be safe.
LOL. We are really excited for both! 🙂
Hawaii is a great choice ! Be sure to include Maui. Barry and I spent a week there and loved it so much we will be returning ! I have enjoyed following your trip and look forward to more great pictures and stories ! Cheers !
Great to hear. We are looking forward to it for sure. We land in Honolulu but have no idea which island to stay on so any suggestions are welcome!
We went there and stayed in Oahu, it was beautiful
Thanks, Tracey. We are looking at our options now. Do you have any recommended places to stay?
Maui is very laid back…like driving around home….the big island tends to be a little more rainy….Oahu is busy in Honolulu …but once you get out of Honolulu it too..is like driving around here…..you can drive all around Oahu in a day on a tour…and it’s not too expensive to do some island hopping from there to the other islands.
P.s. Be sure and take in pearl harbour…a luau….and the Polynesian cultural centre…oh and the international marketplace!
Daniel Goff from Carbonear is in Thailand right now.
Hi Alex, I didn’t know Daniel was in Thailand. What is he doing there? We just spent over a month there!
Amazing! It’s crazy to actually see it on a map, a great visual!! You’re not going to hit up New Zealand? Haha! Easy to say I guess because it’s hard to believe you guys have any limits! XOXO…
We will be doing New Zealand properly, in a camper van from north to south. Just not on this trip! It deserves at least a month so we will be back for that one. Say hello to Alan and Finley for us!
Hey Jessica, Melissa just told me about your adventure. I am glad you got to experience the east coast of my country. You probably understand why I want to move back so badly. We might be in Perth at the same time so let me know where and when you will be there.
Oh my gosh, yes we absolutely love Australia. We are excited to explore the west coast on this trip, and then head back to our favorite city, Melbourne! We will be there the 2nd week in March. Let us know when you will be there. We are also coming to Vancouver in April. Nice to hear from you!
Hi Steven and Jess, mod you know if/when you will be in Adelaide?
Clare (from the Mekong!) xx
Yes, we are coming! Planning to be there from March 13-17. Will we see you? 🙂
